Today is my little brother, Jojo's 16th birthday. I called my sister, Bell at midnight and talked to both of them. Since it is still durian season and it's school holiday, they're both hanging out at our cousin's little durian hut (pondok tunggu durian) when I called. They were so noisy and I missed them so much!
I didn't make any birthday card for Jojo this year, but I plan to get him an mp3 player as birthday and Christmas gift. I bought one on Ebay last week. It was only $10, so if the quality is okay, I'll get another one for him. Oh, in case you're wondering why we call him Jojo, it actually stands for his initials, J.O., which stands for Jeremy Owen. We're very close; I took care of him since he was born and I love him to bits!
Here's a photo of us when I was in Kuching last July. This was taken in the car, on the way home from Satok Market. We look so much alike, don't you think? Oh gosh, my little baby brother is now a young man!
For fans of durians, like Yenny and LJ, hope you'll like this photo of my grandma cutting up unripe durians. This was taken in December 2006. We are expecting the durian season to last until Christmas, so I'll take more photos during that time. I love unripe durians because they can be made as a dish with belacan and chilli and eaten with rice. Yummy! I don't really enjoy ripe durians, though.
Have a great Friday, everyone! Enjoy the photos!
