To Twitter Or To Plurk?

Outdated I may sound, but I've been contemplating on the idea of twittering for the past few days. Tempting, I must say, considering the fact that many of my blogger friends are into Twitter. But then again, I came across Plurk, which seems more interesting than Twitter. I am a huge fan of the underdog, and no, I don't know which one is more popular at the moment. I'm assuming, the big T is still at the top.

Hmmm...a difficult decision indeed, but if I love the idea of getting karma points in Plurk. Plus, Plurk has only one syllable and it's easy to pronounce. C'mon say it with me, plurk, plurk, plurk. I have yet to explore both options, though. I'm open to comments and I'd like to know the pros and cons for both applications, especially from their users. :)

  4. Well it's entirely up to you on what you want to use a microblogging service for. I Twitter several times a day. But I've expanded what I do with Twitter thanks to its API. Currently:

    1. Whenever I post a new post, it automatically updates Twitter. A WordPress plugin.

    2. I use an all-in-one instant messenger called Pidgin, from there, I can read and Twitter directly like talking on an IM.

    3. Posting anything on Twitter updates my Facebook status and all my IM status (MSN, Yahoo, Gtalk, AIM).

    There are other things I do with Twitter as well, but not many people I know uses the service like I do. Still, it's pretty flexible given you know how to work it.

    nak senang install ajer twitterfox - kira mozilla add on.. tak payah bukak twitter.. senang aja..

    right now.. restnrileks join satu aja..

    bukan apa, since most of my blogger friends join twitter, sama laa jugak..

    bukan apa join banyak takut restnrileks tak terkejar.. dah la internet connection sini slow. :(

    Dari twitter boleh sync ngan facebook, blog catalog dan mybloglog.. :)

    Rizal.. tak tau pun twitter ada plugin for firefox..wah senang lah like that.. eh ff3 boleh ke support gak.. me thinking of upgrading to FF3 but some of the plugins i use tak support lah..
