Music Monday - Korobushka (Bond)

As usual, I was having a hard time choosing my song for Music Monday. I was listening to C's mp3 player when I thought of Bond! I love strings and Bond's music just speaks for itself. The four ladies make classical music fun and funky. I couldn't decide between their hits, Explosive, Viva, Fuego, Shine, or Duel, but I came across Korobushka in YouTube.

According to Wikipedia, Korobushka, also known as Korobeiniki is a Russian song based on a poem with the same name written in 1861 by Nikolai Alekseevich Nekrasov and printed in the Sovremennik magazine in 1861. Korobeiniki were peddlers selling fabric, haberdashery, books etc. in pre-revolutionary Russia. The song quickly acquired the status of a Russian folk song, and is known for its dance-friendly structure and ever-increasing tempo.

Okay, enough of history. Enjoy the video and happy Monday!
