Music Monday - Miss You Love (Silverchair)

This is one of my favourite songs by Silverchair, taken from their Neon Ballroom album. My favourite album of theirs is Diorama, the album released after Neon Ballroom. I love Silverchair for incorporating orchestras into their music and you can hear a lot of strings in their Diorama album.

However, ever since Daniel Johns has morphed into a totally different person, gained some weight, got himself some muscles and looking like a lost 80s rock gawd who looks 10 years older than his real age, I've stopped listening to Silverchair's new stuff. Call me whatever you want, but I think I am still very much in love with the old Daniel Johns.

Listening to Silverchair has helped me overcome some of the toughest stages of my life. I have so many stories that I can tell, which are all related to this song. One of them is about a guy I knew back in my uni years. He wasn't a boyfriend, but I think he was the male best friend that I never had. I don't even know where he is right now. Damn man, if somehow you can hear me, I miss you! I don't personally know any Silverchair fans except for him, so if you are one, come out of your pop-or-hiphop-listening-era and confess! :)

    If you listen to Silverchair, the lyrics are all written by Daniel Johns and he has this poetic style of writing that makes you wonder what the lyrics actually mean. :)

    I kinda like deep, depressed men and Johns is one of them! Well, he used to be one. :)
