Have you ever felt like you know a lot of people, but you still feel alone? Do you have more than 100 numbers in your phone, and yet you can't bring yourself to call or text any of them because they aren't really your friend?
I feel that way sometimes. Most of the time, I just ignore that feeling. I have very few close friends, but lately I feel that we're drifting apart. I'm pretty sure that it's not my fault, because I'm the one who often initiate that rare phone call or text. I'm the one who often hope to keep in touch, at least via Facebook chat or Yahoo Messenger.
Right now, the only person who is always there for me is C. Yes of course he has to be there for me, since we live together but that's beside the point. My point is, even so-called good friends whom I knew way back before I met C don't keep in touch anymore. Perhaps that's why they're just my so-called good friends.
You know their kind, don't you? The ones who'd text or chat once in a blue moon just to ask about your job, and go around telling others about you. The ones who'd suddenly be interested in your personal life, and go on spreading rumours about you behind your back.
The truth is, I miss my good friends. Fair enough, they're probably too busy to read my blog or too shy to leave me a comment or two. But you know who you are, and I miss you! Although I may not see you as often as I'd like to, you know I'll always remember you, and I do cherish our friendship. Please, please keep in touch! Facebook is not just for games during lunch break at the office, you know!
I cannot wait for C to come back home tonight. As much as we're total opposites, at least he listens to me and hugs me when I need a hug. Right now, I just need a big hug, and nothing else.
