Just a few hours ago, C gave me the biggest scare of my life. He called and told me that he fell. I knew he fell while riding on the motorcycle, but I thought it was not serious. He has a similar accident last year when he was sort of tailgating another motorcyclist and lost his balance, but he wasn't hurt.
It was already 11pm and although he was not far from our house, I couldn't go to where he was because it's not safe for me to go out so late at night. Luckily, his friend who was on her way home, came back and brought him to the nearest clinic. A pedestrian helped push the bike to the nearest petrol station.
Can you imagine, C was there for more than 10 minutes and no one stopped to help him? He was trying to avoid a huge hole on the road and lost his balance while doing so. Why wasn't the hole marked with a safety cone or something?
If you ride a motorcycle, be extra careful when you're on the way to Jalan Maarof, just before Bangsar LRT station. The hole is on the left lane, but I think it should be marked by now.
I was so worried about C. I still am. C was given 2 days of sick leave. I hope he'll recover soon. I worry about him all the time, every day. For those who travel to work, do take care and be extra careful. Although you may not know it, your loved ones worry about your safety every day.
