Today, SPM results will be out. For those who aren't familiar with the Malaysian education system, SPM stands for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia. It's one of the big exams that Malaysian students need to sit for when they're in Form 5.
Anyway, my brother Jojo sat for SPM examination last year and today is his big day! His SPM results will determine his direction after secondary school (our equivalent to high school in USA).
He can choose to continue high school and proceed to Form 6, where he'll spend 2 more years in school. Otherwise, he can go for matriculation, which is like a pre-uni course. He can also go for tertiary education straight away and take up a diploma.
I know what he'd like to do after high school, and I'm hoping for the best for him. I'm quite nervous too! I'm just waiting for his phone call right now and I won't sleep until I found out his results.
